I agree with Coppola. The original stands on its own as a masterpiece. II is simply a sequel. It's greatness is predicated on the continuation of the original. But, incidentally, I loved the flashbacks.

Enough of the Sixth Sense. Try some old school like "Sleuth" with Michael Caine and Olivier. "Witness for the Prosecution" with Marlene Deitrich and Charles Laughton. I'd tell the endings, but that would "spoil" it.

No wonder so many people are joining those Jehovah's Witnesses. No collections. No paid clergy. No megamillion dollar churches. Just modest, simple neighborhood buildings. I think that is what Jesus meant when he said "you received free, give free".
